For Authors

So you’ve decided to take the plunge into self-publishing, eh? Welcome to the most awesome group of people ever! You probably have a bajillion questions and a gazillion fears, but take a deep breath and relax. It’s a lot easier than it seems at first. There are a ton of resources out there for authors like you and me, so I’ve combined a few of them that I’ve found handy right here. Take a look.

This series is comprised of short, sweet, to-the-point guides to help you get started on your self-publishing journey. From plotting to publishing and beyond, each book is a direct result of my personal experience and blunders so you don’t have to make the same mistakes I did.

Unless you’re extremely talented, you won’t be able to do it all yourself, so here are a few places you can go to get a little extra help.

Need someone to bounce ideas around with? Shoot me an email for consulting fees.  I don’t provide editing; I provide input.

Membership in a professional organization is an easy and fun way to get access to a massive pool of talented service providers. The Alliance of Independent Authors has a huge database of people who offer services to authors, and many of them give discounts. Not to mention all the other amazing things available to you as a member, like an extremely active Facebook group, other cool discounts, and the brains of a ton of other fantabulous authors (no, not brains for eating, you cannibal. Brains for picking. Picking is much more fun.)
